Sex Abuse and Exploitation Prevention Resource Filipino Translation
The children we serve in Launch Club are high risk for exploitation. In fact, one morning this April, we were all alerted to the heartbreaking news that one of our 7 year old girls was sexually abused by a neighborhood drug addict. The weight of that news was crushing. No child should ever experience that kind of violation.
And yet, even in the heartbreak, we saw the power of why Launch Club exists. Because of the trust our mentors have with the children and awareness and prevention training they’ve received - swift and decisive action was taken for the arrest of the abuser and provision of longterm holistic care for the precious little girl.
Beyond the training of our mentors, every child deserves to understand how to protect their body, recognize unsafe situations, and know who to turn to for help.
That’s why Launch Club is partnering with the Protect Me Project to translate this vital curriculum into Filipino, not just through words, but through culturally relevant stories, visuals, and contexts children can truly understand and apply.

Project Cost: $6,500
What's Included:
- Filipino language translation of the full Protect Me Project curriculum for (Level 1) 2-8 year olds and Level 2 (9-11 year olds)
- Cultural adaptation of visuals, characters, and examples
- Rewriting stories to be locally relevant and emotionally appropriate
- Professional layout and formatting for use in print and digital teaching
- Starter print run for Launch Clubs and churches
